BIA Thangka Institute inauguration

First BIA Project: BIA Thangka Institute was inaugurated at Chabahil, Kathmandu.

     Considering the poor condition of disabled people in Nepal, Chogyal Rinpoche visited many disabled homes and hospitals in Kathmandu and did a research about them. Realizing the miserable state of these people, he recently established a disable home, a non-profit organization on July 18 th, 2014. Howewer, it was officially inaugurated on July 26th by a renowned person Ani Choying Drolma.

     The house for BIA Thangka Institute was provided by Rinpoche’s mother and the fund to reconstruct the house was raised from his Chinese friend Li Hong.

     Currently, there are eight disabled students, two staffs along with a Thangka teacher (Ngawang Chhiri Sherpa) who manages this home. They are learning Thangka paitings to earn better opportunities to support their life and have a better life standard.
